What’s Happening in Tigray

Promise Institute for Human Rights – Human Rights Around the World Series

In September, UN human rights chief, Michelle Bachelet deplored “multiple and severe reports of alleged gross violations of human rights, humanitarian and refugee law” committed by all parties to the conflict in Ethiopia’s Tigray region.

In this event, we discussed the historical context for the fighting, the ongoing violence, the restricted access to humanitarian organizations and the devastating impact on those in the region.
